I must be honest, I thought that all pocket knifes are the same. As a woman, I did not really know the difference or would I rather say, I was not interested in knowing what these things were. What do we want to do with a pocketknife in any case? That was until I had to search for Boker pocket knifes, which were on one of my Christmas whish lists.
Yes, I found out to my surprise that there are many different kinds of pocket knifes. Nevertheless, as I had to, specifically get Boker pocket knifes, I want to tell you what I learned about it. Before I get to my experience, I want to just say that the entire woman community out there, should know about pocket knifes. Your knowledge can come very handy one day.
The Boker pocket knifes, is a knife with multiple blades, four to be exactly. Apparently, they dedicated this specific knife to the Appaloosa horse, which the Spanish people introduced to Mexico in the early 1500’s. Because of the strength, beauty and stamina, not to mention the wonderful different colors of these horses, they designers got inspired and thus the birth of these knifes.
A few specifications about the Boker pocket knifes are –
- The trademark of these knifes are the little dark spots on the scales.
- It consists of four blades per knife.
- The blades of these knifes are about three inches long.
- They make the blades out of carbon steel.
- It weights about half a pound.
- Each blade is a different size, for multiple usages.
- Such a knife will cost you about $70.
There are many different things, you can use these pocket knifes for, like eating, cutting and even as shaving blades. It just gave me an idea, if you can use the knife as a shaving blade; imagine how much of money you can save a year on blades to shave. I am just joking; of course, I know you cannot use the same knife to eat then.
Another interesting thing I found out is that they originally made these pocket knifes became so popular in the United States that they started making the same knife in two different countries. I did not tell you this yet, but the company responsible for these knifes, is not one but two. It consists of H. Boker and Solingen. Together these two companies produced more than just pocket knifes, they have different lines of cutlery, Chef knifes and many more of which is too long a list to mention. They do have a line of pliers and other tools, which are of the same quality as their pocket knifes, and just as popular. With a good heart and clean conscious, I can now urge you to consider a pocketknife like these as a Christmas or birthday gift for your loved ones. It is a lifelong investment, which will never loose its value.
